March Scrappit Pack

Hello

I thought I might share another layout I created using the March Scrappit Pack.

Don't be afraid to use your patterned paper differently. There is absolutely nothing wrong with placing what you would normally do with ledger paper and place it vertically instead. It did mean that my heart was sideways, but hey, I think it adds to the overall appeal of the page.

By using a thin strip of double sided tape, I placed this beside my felt bracket and adhered the pearl strip. You could use liquid glue, however I felt this was less messy and I didn't have to wait for the glue to dry.

By running a row of machine stitching around my paper background to my card stock, I was able to cut and distress the edges to add some depth to the page.

Till next time

Over the past couple of months I have been learning a great deal about Photoshop and in particular about digital scrapbooking. Over the next couple of months I am really eager to bring you some cool links to digital freebies that I’ve found across the internet in addition to freebies I’ve created.
The first one I have for you is a Photoshop template I created. I used it to make this layout –

And here is the link to the template I created -

Templates are the easiest and the quickest way to start working on digital layouts. They require a bit of knowledge on how to use masks but once you know how they are simple to use.
For those of you who are new to the world of digi, I’ve included a couple of great tutorial links from the internet to help you to get started.
