Ragged Borders by Sharon Jeffs

Sharon loves creating ragged borders with different papers. She finds it's a great way of using up scraps of paper & cardstock whilst creating a unique & effective result each and every time!

Sharon begins by choosing 3 different pattern papers with colours that look effective together.
She then tears them into strips that are approximately 3cm wide.

She then choses two different types of border punches and she uses each on one on a particular piece of patterned paper.

To complete a border like the one featured above, she simply doubled everything and then layered them all together ie. torn edge/scallop edge/torn cardstock edge/filigree border edge/torn paper edge/etc.

How simple and effective!

As you can see from the page at left; layered borders also don’t need to be used as one long strip - notice how Sharon has cut one in half and then mitred the two halves to create a large photo corner type effect. Such a great idea Sharon!
