Newsletter Challenge - Ribbon

I actually missed getting my Design Team Challenge page finished in time for last week's newsletter and so thought I would share the results with here on the Scrappit Blog!

The challenge was to feature RIBBON and so I decided to not only use a small piece of it underneath my photo BUT also to use some 'ribbon like' border strips as well!

Here's a little close-up too!

I love the effect of cutting apart the glitter sticker border trim and using the flower and leaf pieces individually like this - the flowers I particularly love adhering to a clear transparency and then cutting them out - they really add some wonderful dimension this way!

Here's hoping you have a fantastic weekend!

Until next time,

Shirley

Digi Freebie

A week ago I went on a school camp with my class. While I was there I drove everyone nuts taking photo's of stuff that they thought was pure madness. Me, I thought they were mad not to be able to see the potential in all that bush!! Check out the page I created about one very amusing part of our trip -

Outdoor plumbing

I created the whole page using elements that I photographed either as a macro shot or as a macro that I extracted. For my page I added a few extra touches to get the effects I wanted but I saved all my extractions and papers and zipped them into a freebie for you. Here's a preview of the papers and the elements in the kit -
